Toolbars
Installed Toolbars lists every installed toolbar, bundled and your own, with its source, version, the sites it runs on and its actions. The On column shows and hides a toolbar on every tab; ProSearcher Toolbar 2027 Edition is Required and cannot be hidden. A toolbar of yours that Chrome is not running yet says Not running until user scripts are allowed.
Edit opens the toolbar in the Editor. Remove… removes it; see removing a toolbar.
Add a Toolbar has three ways in:
- Write a Toolbar. New Toolbar opens the Editor with the template: a metadata header and one component.
- Import a Toolbar. Choose File…, fetch an HTTPS source URL with Fetch Source, or Paste Source…. HTTPS fetches send no cookies or referrer and stop after 20 seconds. Imports open in the Editor for review first; nothing runs until you install it.
- Generate with Gemini. Opens Create with Gemini in the Editor. It needs the local model.
When your own toolbars need Chrome's Allow User Scripts setting, a notice at the top says so, with Open Chrome Settings and Check Again. The tab checks again when you come back to it.
